Yota Devices Pavilion ’14 by External Reference

About the Project

Mediodesign collaborates for the second time in the production of Russian Company Yota Devices Pavilion at the Mobile World Congress MWC 2014, designed by External Reference Architects.

MWC is the largest fair of mobile technology in the world. This year, the event is again hosted in the Mobile World Capital Barcelona, at two world-class venues, Fira Gran Via and Fira Montjuïc.

For this project, External Reference Architects have designed a kind of techno-landscape in which the visitor is immersed in a sensory experience through music, lights and projections. This landscape is formed in the interior, by a series of ribs which expand to place capsules exhibiting mobile devices and screens. For the exterior, it has created an enclosure drilled at different depths to cause light effects from the inside. The pavilion is a great place that welcomes visitors and invites you to dive into the experience of new products by Yota Devices.

Mediodesign is responsible for design consultancy and digital fabrication of outer walls, interior ribs, acrylic capsules for mobiles displays and special furniture.
