Tokio Sushi

About the Project

In this second collaboration with Kobfuji Architects, we developed a reticular paneling for the new Tokyo Sushi Japanese Restaurant, located in Gracia District, Barcelona.

The panels are composed by square modules following a sloping perforated pattern. The joints are invisible so that the paneling is perceived as a continuous surface without visual obstacles. The paneling, floor to ceiling, has been technically solved for easy assembly on site by Kobfuji’s technical team. The paneling has a hidden LED lighting system, which highlights the graphic pattern designed exclusively as brand image of the restaurant. All the waste material of the cutting process in our workshop, has been recovered by Kobfuji to create sculptural decorative compositions.

Again, it has been a pleasure working with a team of great sensitivity and poetics.
