Rack for Tablet Histopad
About
Histovery is a Paris-based company pioneering enhancement of cultural heritage using new technologies. Since 2013, they develop an innovative augmented visit solution on tablets called HistoPad.
The HistoPads are offered to visitors of historical interest sites for guided tours. Its interactive content reconstructs decoration, furniture, jewelery, works of art, etc. through 3D images that can be visited at 360º.
To store the HistoPads, André de Sa Moreira, member of Histovery’s multidisciplinary team, commissioned us to develop and produce a storage and recharging system for tablets that could be adapted to the different types of furniture in each museum.
We carry out several prototypes until we define the final piece. We use a single material to optimize production and reduce costs. The option was a high-density fiberboard for its structural stability, machinability and good aesthetic level.
The racks are stackable. They are joined by connectors on a compact Formica® board. They have a capacity of 15 tablets.
The racks are shipped assembled directly to France from our workshop in Barcelona.
