Concept Lab Mural Casa SEAT

About the project

At Casa SEAT we made two murals for Lázaro Rosa-Violán’s interior design studio.

n this case, it is a steel mural on the second floor of the building, where Casa Seat’s best kept secret is hidden: the Concept Lab. The company’s designers work in this space in the initial phases of the new models of Seat and Cupra.

With the Rosa-Violán team we work around the concept that gives life to the entire project: a combination of art, culture and urban mobility. The installation had to be perceived as an element halfway between technology and tradition with an artistic air.

The metal mural covers a space of 8.3 m x 3.3 m and becomes the backdrop for this open-plan and enveloping workspace.

The installation consists of a series of laser-cut steel tiles separated from the metal background to play with the shadows through the perforations. The mural hides the access door to the Concept Lab, which is completely integrated into the mural and goes unnoticed.

In this mural, precision was a fundamental element. The separation between each piece had to be exact as well as the flatness of the surface.
