Nenen

About the Project

The IgorMarq architects designed an origami-inspired piece for the exhibition of the 40th anniversary of Corian® “40 years x 40 designers”, a  travelling exhibition consisting of new creations by 40 designers (individual professionals, design studios or design teams) from around the world.

Based on the art of folding, Nenen is the result of the transformation of a piece of paper in the hands of the artist Pedro Nuñez. Nenen has two functions: as a bowl to place fruit, bread, etc … or a container for any objects.

From origami paper, we developed a viable manufacturing product. Thanks to the thermoformed Corian® qualities, we created a mould in which we transformed a piece of 40 x 40 cm Corian®, as base material. We performed a limited serie of 5 units.
